Meet Our Managing Partner
Attorney Katie L. Belanger
Attorney Katie L. Belanger, Managing Partner of Gouldsboro Law, brings an exceptional blend of legal training, strategic leadership, and multidisciplinary experience to her representation of individuals and families across Maine. A summa cum laude graduate of University of Maine and a distinguished alumna of Florida Coastal School of Law, Katie has built her career on rigorous analysis, precise advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
Before founding Gouldsboro Law, Katie spent nearly a decade at Ernst & Young, LLP, where she served as a Senior Consultant in the Business Intelligence practice. In that role, she managed a Fortune 100 company, oversaw international research and compliance teams, and led high-volume investigations involving fraud risk assessment, due diligence, anti-corruption programs, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Her work included supporting companies and counsel in responding to government investigations, SEC matters, data privacy issues, cyber security incidents, and large-scale litigation. She also trained, supervised, and evaluated teams of attorneys and analysts while developing process improvements that significantly increased efficiency and reduced error rates.
Katie's legal education reflects both excellence and service. She served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Florida Coastal Law Review, earned a Certificate in Advanced Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting, and completed over 500 hours of pro bono service for the Duval County Guardian ad Litem program. Katie gained hands-on experience as a judicial law clerk for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in felony court in Duval County, Florida, as well as served as a corporate and compliance law clerk for The Suddath Companies, a family law clinician, and addressing landlord-tenant issues for Pine Tree Legal Assistance.
